NCRI WOMEN'S COMMITTEE

Works extensively with Iranian women outside the country and maintains a permanent contact with women inside Iran. The Women’s Committee is actively involved with many women's rights organizations and NGO's and the Iranian diaspora. The committee is a major source of much of the information received from inside Iran with regards to women. Attending UN Human Rights Commission meetings and other international or regional conferences on women’s issues, and engaging in a relentless battle against the Iranian regime's misogyny are part of the activities of members and associates of the committee.

On the occasion of International Women's Day a conference was held on March 1 in Paris with the presence of Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the Iranian Resistance, a large number of prominent political and social figures as well as artists, human rights and women’s rights activists from five continents. Also, delegations representing dozens of Iranian women’s associations and organizations from North America and Europe joined the conference.

They came to Paris to celebrate the Women’s International Day, and listen to Mrs. Rajavi and many eminent speakers coming from United States, Canada, Norway, Italy, Great-Britain, France, Algeria, Spain as well as representative from the Iranian Resistance. Sponsored by dozens of NGO and women associations, the conference was organized by the International Federation of Women against Fundamentalism and for Equality.
